The rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing to be described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the nature of the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR);
  • to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);
  • to the immediate deletion of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 DSGVO), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary as stipulated in Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, to restrict said processing per Art. 18 GDPR;
  • to receive copies of the data concerning them and/or provided by them and to have the same transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR);
  • to file complaints with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the controller in breach of data protection provisions (see also Art. 77 GDPR).

In addition, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom it discloses data of any such corrections, deletions, or restrictions placed on processing the same per Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Nevertheless, users have a right to information about these recipients.

Likewise, under Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller’s future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.

Newsletters

Newsletters are only sent to customers at their express request. Newsletter subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. The data you provide will only be used to personalise our newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. The information you provide is voluntary. For statistical purposes, we carry out anonymised link tracking.

Use of social plug-ins

Our website uses “social plug-ins” (hereinafter: plug-ins) from social networks on the internet. These plug-ins are each displayed with the logo of the corresponding network.
When you call up a website with such a plug-in, a direct connection is established with the servers of the corresponding social network. If you are logged in to this network with your user name and password at this time, the network is automatically informed that you are visiting our website. This information can be assigned to your user account there. Even if you interact with plug-ins (e.g. use the “Like” or “Share” functions on Facebook or “Tweet This” on Twitter), the content of our pages will be linked to your profile on the respective social network. Other users of the network may learn of this interaction. Index Intelligence or the Index Intelligence companies are not affiliated with or responsible in any way for the third party operators whose websites are linked via plug-ins. If you are not a member of the social network or are not logged in there, it is still possible that your IP address will be transmitted and stored there.
Specific data protection guidelines and liability regulations apply to websites of third-party operators integrated by means of plug-ins. The storage and use of your data by these site operators may exceed the scope of Index Intelligence’s privacy policy. Index Intelligence has no knowledge of the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data – and no influence on it. You should therefore inform yourself about the data protection policies of the third-party operators.”
Below you will find a list of the social networks whose plug-ins are used on our website. You will also find details of the operators and a link to their data protection policies. On the respective websites, you will find information on your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy.
